Welcome to Web Development 1

This course will facilitate student learning in a web-development environment. Students will learn the fundamentals of how the Internet and World Wide Web work. By learning about and utilize the basic building blocks of the World Wide Web: XHTML coding, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and JavaScript, students will plan, design, develop, deploy, and maintain various web projects. Students will learn about and use scripting technologies to create dynamic and interactive websites. Students will explore possible careers in Web Development and build a Web portfolio. Students will be using their district accounts such as google drive, skyward, and canvas as well as creating accounts on codehs.com and repl.it.
